Return & Exchange Policy
At Marine Outfitters we know sometimes purchases may need to be returned. We are here to satisfy our customers and want to be sure to resolve your issue as quickly as possible and get you the product you need or issue a refund if necessary.
We require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). To initiate the process please contact us at - accounting@marine-outfitters.com or 954.523.4301
Our policy is 30 days from purchase date; after 30 days we cannot offer a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition as received and in the original packaging. We require proof of purchase and/or receipt.
Sale items Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. If returned there will be a restocking fee.
Restocking Fee Some items may require a 20% restocking fee which we will inform you of at the time of the RMA# issuance.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer unless it is covered by a manufacturer's warranty for replacement or repair.
The following items are exempt from return:
- Hazardous materials
- Flammable liquids or gases
- Electronics or electrical products
- Registered items: life rafts, Class B AIS, boats, EPIRB, PLBs
- Special Orders
- Customized Orders
- Downloadable software products
- Gift cards
When we provide the RMA# you will be provided with instructions to return the approved item(s). Upon our receipt we will send an email to notify you we have received the required documentation and item(s). We will inspect the item(s) and further notify you of the approval or rejection of the refund or excahnge requested.
Refund
If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7-10 days of approval. Or a Marine Outfitters account credit will be issued.
Exchange
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If approved we will ship the replacement item upon availability and inform you of this date.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a Marine Outfitters account gift credit for the value of your return if approved.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves and then gifted to you, the refund will be processed to the purchaser accordingly as above.
Shipping
Do not return any item(s) without prior authorization via RMA#.
Shipping instructions will be provided with the Return Merchandise Authorization #.

You are responsible for all return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance depending on the value of the item(s). We are not responsible for lost items and cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
Return Abuse Policy
If we suspect anyone of abusing Marine Outfitters Return & Exchange Policy or any other policy, we reserve the right to refuse service to those people and/or businesses.
